A Mouse Needs a Gap the Width of a Pencil
A house mouse can enter through a quarter-inch opening. A rat needs about the size of a quarter. Neither has to chew a new hole when your soffit, roof return, plumbing penetration, or garage door corner already provides one.
In South Florida, the dominant species is the roof rat, and roof rats climb. They travel utility lines, fence tops, and overhanging tree limbs, and they enter high: soffits, roof-to-wall junctions, vent stacks, and attic gable ends. If you're only checking the foundation, you're looking in the wrong place.

Trapping and removal. Placement based on actual travel patterns, not guesswork. Monitored and serviced until activity stops.
Exclusion, the part that actually solves it. We seal identified entry points using appropriate materials for each location: soffit gaps, roof returns, plumbing and utility penetrations, vent screening, garage door corners, and structural gaps.
Exterior bait station program. Tamper-resistant stations placed around the structure perimeter where appropriate, serviced on a recurring schedule to intercept pressure before it reaches the building.
Sanitation and habitat recommendations. Tree limbs contacting the roof, dense vegetation against the structure, debris and storage, food and pet-food storage, garbage handling, and water sources.
Monitoring and follow-up. We come back, verify, and adjust.
An Honest Word About Permanent Sealing
Entry points are identified and sealed based on what is visible and accessible during inspection. Structures move, roofs age, trees grow back, and new gaps open. No exclusion work can honestly be represented as permanent or complete without ongoing monitoring, and any company that tells you otherwise is selling you something.
What we can tell you: exclusion done properly, combined with recurring monitoring, is the difference between solving a rodent problem and renting a trapping service indefinitely.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to get rid of rats? Most properties see activity drop within the first one to two weeks of trapping, with resolution over several weeks depending on population size and how many entry points exist. Exclusion work is what determines whether they stay gone.
Will you seal the entry points, or just set traps? We seal them. Exclusion is a core part of the service, not an upsell. Trapping without exclusion is a treadmill.
Do you use poison inside my home? Our approach favors trapping for interior work and tamper-resistant exterior bait stations for perimeter pressure. Your technician will explain exactly what's being placed and where before anything goes in.
What about my pets? Exterior bait stations are tamper-resistant and secured. Interior device placement is chosen to be inaccessible to pets and children. Tell us about your animals at inspection and we'll plan around them.
Do I still need service after the rodents are gone? Recurring exterior monitoring is what keeps a solved problem solved. South Florida rodent pressure is constant, and structures change. Most customers move to a maintenance interval after the initial phase.
Do you handle wildlife like raccoons, opossums, or iguanas? No. We service rats and mice. For wildlife, you'll need a licensed wildlife trapper. Tell us what you're seeing and we'll point you in the right direction.
