Mosquito, Flea & Tick Control for South Florida Properties

You paid for the yard. You should be able to use it.

Our mosquito reduction program combines targeted treatment of resting areas with breeding-site elimination, addressing where mosquitoes rest and where they reproduce. Service from $40, free property inspection.

They're Breeding in Your Yard, Not Flying In From the Everglades

Most of the mosquitoes biting you were born within about 150 feet of where you're standing. The common container-breeding species don't travel far.

That means the water on your property is the problem, and it doesn't take much. A container holding water for roughly a week can produce adult mosquitoes. The usual sources:

  • Bromeliads and plants that hold water in their leaf axils
  • Plant saucers and pot trays
  • Clogged or sagging gutters
  • Tarps, boat covers, and grill covers
  • Tires, buckets, wheelbarrows, and toys
  • Birdbaths and pet water bowls
  • AC condensate lines and drainage pans
  • Untreated or neglected pools and water features
  • Corrugated drainage pipe and low spots that hold standing water

This is why fogging alone underperforms. It kills the adults present today; it does nothing about the population emerging next week.

Our Mosquito Reduction Program

Property inspection for breeding zones. We walk the property and identify standing water sources, dense vegetation, and shaded harborage where adults rest during the day.

Targeted treatment of resting areas. Application to shrubs, foliage undersides, and perimeter resting zones, where adult mosquitoes actually spend the day, not indiscriminate coverage.

Larval control where applicable. Treatment of standing water that can't be eliminated.

In2Care station program where suitable. Bait stations that target both adults and larvae, appropriate for certain property types and pressures.

Ongoing seasonal service plans. Mosquito pressure peaks with the rainy season. Recurring service through that window is what keeps activity down.

Written conducive-conditions recommendations. Specific, practical corrections you can make, the changes that reduce your baseline pressure permanently.

Fleas & Ticks

We treat fleas and ticks in the yard as part of the same program, targeting shaded harborage, under decks and porches, along fence lines, and in the areas pets frequent.

Yard treatment is one half of the solution. Flea infestations involving pets also require veterinary treatment of the animal and thorough interior sanitation. We'll tell you honestly what yard treatment can and can't accomplish on its own.

Who This Is For

Residential backyards, HOAs and community properties, restaurants with outdoor dining, commercial and warehouse exteriors, and rental or short-term properties.

Hosting an event? Call ahead. Treatment timing matters, and we'll advise on the best window.

Service Plans

Monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, and annual plans. No-contract options, and your third service is free with any subscription.

Most South Florida properties benefit from recurring service through the rainy season, roughly May through October, when pressure is highest.

Important Notice

South Florida Pest Solutions provides mosquito reduction services intended to reduce mosquito populations and activity. We make no claim to prevent or control mosquito-borne disease. Results vary based on property conditions, adjacent properties, weather, and standing water sources outside our treatment area.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a treatment last? Typically several weeks, though heavy rain, irrigation, and new landscaping growth shorten it. That's why recurring service outperforms one-off treatments during rainy season.

Will this affect bees and butterflies? Application timing, product selection, and placement are chosen to reduce pollinator exposure. We avoid treating flowering plants in bloom and time applications accordingly. Tell us if you keep a pollinator garden or hives and we'll plan around them.

Will I have zero mosquitoes? No, and be skeptical of anyone who promises that. Mosquitoes fly in from neighboring properties, canals, and public land. What a good program does is substantially reduce the population breeding and resting on your property, which is what makes the yard usable.

Do my neighbors need to treat too? It helps, but it isn't required. The majority of your biting pressure originates on your own property.

Can you treat before a party or event? Yes. Call ahead so we can schedule at the right interval before your date.

Do you treat for fleas and ticks in the yard? Yes, as part of the same program. Interior flea infestations and pet treatment are separate, and we'll advise on the full picture.
