General Pest Control in Miami-Dade & Broward County

South Florida Pest Solutions handles the everyday pests that make a home or business feel like it isn't yours anymore, with inspection-based treatment plans that address the pest and the conditions letting it thrive. Locally owned and operated, FDACS licensed, serving both counties.

Plans start at $30/month. Inspections are free.

Signs You Have a Problem

Cockroaches. Live sightings when you turn on a light at night. Droppings that look like ground pepper or coffee grounds in cabinet corners, under appliances, and behind kickplates. Egg casings glued into hinges, drawer runners, and cabinet seams. A musty, oily odor in heavier infestations.

Ants. Consistent trails along baseboards, countertop edges, and window frames. Activity around sinks, dishwashers, and pet bowls. Small soil piles at slab cracks or patio joints.

Pantry pests. Small beetles or moths in the cupboard. Webbing inside flour, rice, or cereal packaging.

Silverfish and occasional invaders. Activity in bathrooms, laundry areas, garages, and anywhere holding moisture.

What's Included

  • Interior targeted treatment – crack-and-crevice application in kitchens, bathrooms, and identified activity areas
  • Exterior perimeter barrier – treatment around the foundation, entry points, and harborage zones
  • Entry-point identification – we note gaps, cracks, and conducive conditions and tell you what to correct
  • Sanitation and harborage recommendations – plain-language, practical, specific to your property
  • Recurring visits at the interval your property actually needs

German Roach Clean Out

German cockroaches are a different problem from the rest. They reproduce faster, hide deeper, and don't respond to a standard perimeter service. For active German roach infestations we run an intensive clean-out protocol.

You'll receive a preparation checklist in advance. Following it closely is the single biggest factor in how well the treatment works. Most properties need follow-up service to break the reproductive cycle, and we'll tell you honestly at inspection whether one treatment is realistic for your situation.

Bees, Wasps & Stinging Insects

We treat wasps, hornets, and stinging insect activity on residential and commercial properties, including nests in eaves, soffits, wall voids, and around outdoor structures.

Stinging insect work is time-sensitive and location-dependent. Call us with the location and what you're seeing, and we'll advise on approach before scheduling. Do not attempt to knock down or spray a nest yourself, particularly if anyone on the property has a known sting allergy.

Our Process

1. Free Inspection. We walk the property, identify the pest and the conditions supporting it, and check for moisture, entry points, and harborage.

2. Customized Recommendation. Plain-language explanation of what we found and what we recommend, including what doesn't need treating. Written quote before any work is scheduled.

3. Treatment and Prevention. Licensed application using integrated pest management: targeted product use combined with exclusion and sanitation correction, so the problem has less to come back to.

4. Ongoing Protection. Recurring service keeps pressure down through South Florida's seasonal shifts. We document each visit and adjust the plan as conditions change.

Why Recurring Service Matters Here

In most of the country, pests go dormant in winter. In South Florida they don't. Heat, humidity, and a long rainy season mean pest pressure shifts through the year rather than stopping, which is why one-time treatments so often feel like they wore off.

Rainy season drives ants and roaches indoors and floods outdoor harborage. Dry season pushes pests toward interior moisture in kitchens, bathrooms, and irrigation-adjacent walls. A recurring plan keeps pressure suppressed through both.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon will I stop seeing roaches? It depends on the species and how established the infestation is. You'll typically see a noticeable drop within the first week or two, with continued decline after that. German cockroach infestations usually require follow-up service to break the reproductive cycle. We'll be straight with you at inspection about what to expect.

Do I need to leave the house during treatment? For standard interior service, no. Your technician will give you specific re-entry and drying instructions for the products used at your property.

Do I have to empty my kitchen cabinets? Not for routine service. For a German roach clean-out, yes. You'll get a detailed prep checklist in advance, and following it closely makes a real difference in the result.

Is the exterior barrier enough on its own? For prevention on a property with no current interior activity, often yes. For an active interior infestation, no. Interior treatment is necessary, and the inspection tells us which situation you're in.

Why do I need recurring service instead of one treatment? A single treatment addresses the pest currently on your property. It doesn't address the pressure arriving next month. In a climate where colonies stay active year-round, recurring service is what keeps the problem from rebuilding.

Are your treatments okay to use around children and pets? We use EPA-registered products applied strictly according to label directions by a licensed applicator, and we select targeted application methods and placements with children and pets in mind. Your technician will provide specific re-entry instructions for the products used at your property and will answer any question about what we're applying and where.
